The CELLAID Project

CELLAID stands for CELLbased therapies in AutoImmune Diseases and the project is supported by the European Commission as a Specific Support Action (SSA). European expertise is outstanding in the field of cell therapies in autoimmune diseases and needs a platform for scientific communication and cooperation.
The task of CELLAID is to arrange European symposia on cell based therapies for autoimmune diseases and to evaluate the European potential and perspectives in this field. It will consequently work out research demands for future progress on a European level. CELLAID will approach the development of curative therapies for patients with autoimmune diseases and other diseases involving immunepathologies.

Initiation of the project was possible by funding of the 'BMBF'.
